It will be waggy tails all round at this year’s Fido Fiesta Day with top advice and fun on offer to dedicated dog owners and their cute canines.
Hosted by Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH), the event is being held on Thursday 26 July in front of Edward Wilson House, off Princess Elizabeth Way. From 2pm to 4pm , dog owners will be able to visit one of the many information stands, get top advice, money off vouchers and freebies for their pampered pooch.
Visitors to the event will hear top tips from Pets at Home, Cheltenham Animal Shelter and the RSPCA about how to keep their canine companion healthy and happy.
The four legged friends can even take part in a training session and test their speed over the fantastic agility course being built specially for the day, all for free.
Money off vouchers for neutering and micro-chipping will be on offer and every dog owner who signs CBH s Good Dog Owner Register will receive a supply of free poop bags.
Paul Stephenson, Acting Chief Executive at CBH , said: We want to invite residents to come along and enjoy what promises to be a fun event that will also give advice and help on how to look after our four legged friends. An event like this is our chance to benefit the whole community by encouraging responsible dog ownership and helping people make the most out of owning their beloved pet.
Other organisations coming along and providing information stands include Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucestershire Police. Edward Wilson House Community Group and Scott House Action Group will also be on hand to talk to residents about their role in the local community.
