Cordon lifted and residents can return to their homes

The Police have now advised that the cordon has been lifted and all residents are able to return to their homes.

The St. Margarets Hall rest centre in Coniston Road will now close.

The council contact centre on 01242 262626 has now closed and will reopen at 9.00am on Monday morning.

The council wishes to thank all its partner agencies for the support that has been provided during this difficult period, all CBC staff and elected members that have given up their time to help out, and local residents who have shown great patience during the incident.
