Following the explosion in Rosehill Street on Thursday 10 May, Cheltenham Borough Council would like to thank local businesses and residents for their help dealing with the situation.
Residents were evacuated from Rosehill Street and the Cheltenham Borough Council health team arranged a rescue centre at The Langton. Residents who were then unable to return to their homes were either accompanied to relatives and friends homes or given a hotel room for the night. Starline taxis provided transport for the residents and the Big sleep and the Premier Inn provided a place to stay.
The police cordon remains in place today and the council is working towards long term accommodation and support for all the families affected.
Cheltenham Borough Council spokesperson said: We would like to thank the local businesses that helped us during this incident. We are in the process of organising further help for those affected as their welfare is our highest priority.
If you are a resident of Rosehill Street and would like more information please call 01242 262626.
