children in pool

Enrolment for leisure@cheltenham’s next swimming courses starts on Monday 26 March, so don’t miss the opportunity to get your children splashing in the pool this spring.

The lessons follow the ASA Award Scheme and, as appropriate, badges are awarded at the end of each full term.

All lessons are delivered by friendly, fully qualified coaches. Classes are offered for every age, from very young children up to adults, and people of all abilities are welcome. Each course is twelve weeks long with no breaks for half term. Courses run Monday to Friday from 4pm and Saturday mornings from 8.30am.

Nicola Rees, activities co-ordinator at leisure@ said: “Our swimming lessons do prove very popular, so I would encourage parents to get their children signed up as soon as possible.”

Councillor Andrew McKinlay, cabinet member for sport and culture, added: “Swimming lessons are one of the greatest gifts a parent can give to their children. Swimming is one of the only health promoting fun activity which also provides a child with the tools and skills to save their own life.”

Each course costs £56.50 which includes a swimming hat. To enrol please contact the customer services team on 01242 528764. Full details of the timetable are available on the swim notice board at leisure@cheltenham.

We are also taking bookings for our next Swim a Song Lessons, Jellyfish lessons (both parent and toddler) and also Pre-school lessons. These lessons run for 10 weeks in term time only and the new term starts the week commencing Monday 23 April. The cost of these lessons are £47 for the term.
