Take a look at the Cheltenham Twinning Association website for all the latest news and information.
The Cheltenham Twinning Association has launched its own website and can be visited at www.cheltenhamtwinning.wordpress.com.
The website includes information about Cheltenhams twin and friendship towns as well as posts on forthcoming twinning visits and activities, news of past events, a photo gallery and how to become of member of the twinning association and get involved.
Councillor Garth Barnes, chairman of the twinning association said: "We are delighted to have our own website up and running and hope this will encourage more people, particularly young people, to get involved. We would like to hear from community groups who would like to link with a similar group in one of our twin towns. Or from individuals who would like to take part in visits, exchanges and events."
The twinning association was established in 2003 and supports international linking at all levels. It is now looking to increase its membership and profile whilst involving a greater section of the community including young people in overseas partnerships.
Cheltenham has five twin towns, Annecy in France, Göttingen in Germany, Sochi in Russia, Weihai in China and Cheltenham in Pennsylvania, USA, and 2 friendship towns Kisumu Kenya and Stampersgat Holland. Sochi will be hosting the winter Olympics in 2014.
