Future services and activities for young people will be the topic of the day when a number of Gloucestershire organisations come together on 13 June.
The invite-only event is being held at Cheltenham Borough Council's Municipal Offices for local authority representatives, voluntary and community organisations.
The day will be made up of talks, interactive workshops; question/answer sessions and group discussions centred around future services, clubs and activities for young people. It aims to cover: the future of county council youth provision; the latest on the £50k funding provided by the county council to support youth provision in districts and how this can be accessed; how organisations may be able to fill any gaps; and sharing of good practice. The event will also offer practical support and guidance for groups who may wish to replace existing youth services or set up new clubs/activities.
Mike Dawson, chief executive of Tewkesbury Borough Council and chair of the District Network Group of Gloucestershire Authorities said: "This will be a forward-looking event and there will be a wide range of organisations thinking carefully - and creatively - about how we can work together to provide the best opportunities for access to youth services for young people in Gloucestershire."
