Same day booking now available at Cheltenham household recycling centre

Cheltenham Borough Council, which recently introduced a booking system at its Swindon Road Household Recycling Centre (HRC) has run important updates to the live system, which should benefit users of the site.

Since Monday 4 March, residents of Cheltenham are required to pre-book slots at the recycling centre on Swindon Road. In an update to the system, as long as there is availability, HRC appointments can now be booked up to an hour before arrival.

Gareth Edmundson, chief executive of Cheltenham Borough Council said: “I want to thank residents who have visited Swindon Road Household Recycling Centre since the changes at the start of the month. The council has listened to the feedback and prioritised the introduction of same-day booking. When booking, customers will now be offered the next available slot providing the greatest flexibility for the disposal of recycling and waste. We know that being able to book the same day is particularly useful for green waste as activities like gardening are often weather dependent.”
