The borough council is making local arrangements for residents to pay their respects, following the announcement of the sad death of Her Majesty the Queen.
Local proclamation
Following the national proclamation, the Mayor will read the local proclamation on Sunday 11 September, on the steps of the Municipal Offices at 2.00pm to official invitees and members of the public.
Floral tributes
An area of pavement in front of the Long Gardens (Promenade pavement) will be available to place flowers throughout the period of mourning.

An online Book of Condolence is now available at www.royal.uk and physical Books of Condolence are also available as follows:
Municipal Offices book of condolence
Monday – Friday: 9.00am – 7.30pm
The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum book of condolence
Monday – Saturday 08:30am – 6.00pm
Sunday 8.30am – 4.00pm
Pittville Pump Room book of condolence
Monday - Sunday 9.00am – 5.00pm
