Councillor Sandra Holliday, Cheltenham’s mayor, has today expressed great sadness following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
“Councillors and officers of Cheltenham Borough Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
“As a mark of respect, the flag at the council’s Municipal Offices will be flown at half-mast.”
Arrangements for a local Book of Condolence and for floral tributes will be confirmed tomorrow morning.
