Graffiti on a wall

The play area at Pittville Park was expected to temporarily close on 30 October but it will now stay open.

A big clean-up operation was expected to close Pittille play area tomorrow however thanks to the hard work of the green space team today, the park is now clean and can stay open.

The clean-up - which had to take place due to a huge amount of graffiti which has been left on the play equipment - successfully took place today.  There was some concern that the graffiti would be so hard to remove, that the only way to manage it would be to close the area off to the public. However this has been prevented and the area is now clean and will stay open.

Thanks to all those who were using the area and assisted in giving the team space to clean.
