A brand new children’s splash pad will be unveiled on Wednesday 1 August, when Leisure at Cheltenham hosts a day full of fun activities for the whole family.
The day will take place on National Play Day when communities up and down the country come together to have fun.
Pre-booked tickets start at £5 per child (adults are free) and £6 per child on the door. Entrance to the exciting new pool space Splash is included, plus new adrenalin pumping pool inflatables will be available for the first time. Swim sessions will be run as hourly sessions and are spaces are limited- places can be booked following purchase of a wrist band.
The day starts at 10am through to 3pm and families can also enjoy a disco, bouncy castles, a circus workshop, face painting, a huge array of sporting activities, kids’ Zumba, plus many other indoor and outdoor events.
The day celebrates the completion of the centre’s £2.5million redevelopment which includes the new splash pad, two new exercise studios, new health and fitness suite, upgraded changing rooms, new reception and improved access for people with disabilities including a Changing Places space. The upgrades have been designed around the importance of play, fun, learning and exploration for our community.
Councillor Flo Clucas, cabinet member for healthy lifestyles at Cheltenham Borough Council, said: “I am so pleased that we are ready to showcase these impressive new facilities. I hope that families will come along to the launch day and enjoy everything we have to offer. It has been great working with The Cheltenham Trust to see these plans come to life.”

“As a not for profit organisation, we can continue to reinvest money back into our sites across Cheltenham, continually improving the customer experience and offering the best in health and fitness space and equipment. We were particularly keen to ensure that any of our customers who have special needs are properly catered for, which has resulted in a number of key re-design features.”
