Midsummer Fiesta returns to Montpellier Gardens on Saturday 7 July for the tenth year for another day of fantastic fun, showcasing the talents of the Cheltenham communities.
After last year’s event saw a buzzing crowd, this year’s event is expected to attract even more visitors to Montpellier Gardens.
With big attractions, fun fair rides, music and dance acts, children’s village, escape room, a classic car display and lots more, including the ability to take part in Human Hungry Hippos!, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Live music includes performances by Cantaloop, Harry Daniels, Ten Tombs, Fawner and The Revolvers. There will be a wide range of dance performances including salsa and Zumba to join in with. Visitors can enjoy the bar and range of caterers wares, browse the stalls and displays.
Cheltenham FC and Gloucester RFC will be at the fiesta to show off their skills, and there will be a chance to test the speed of your kick with a football speed gun.
The marketplace and activities will run from 12-6pm. Performances and catering will continue until 9pm. More details are available through the Facebook page Cheltenham Midsummer Fiesta @midsummerfiesta.
Louise Forey, council event organiser, says: “As always the fantastic live music line-up speaks for itself, but I’m especially proud of the free family entertainment we’ve programmed. We have go karts, a football cage, circus school, the mini professors and bouncy castles for our younger audience, so you’ll be able to spend a few hours soaking up the great music – and hopefully great weather – with family and friends.”
Cllr Flo Clucas, cabinet member for healthy lifestyles continued: “The fiesta is a brilliant demonstration of talent across all areas of Cheltenham. It’s wonderful that residents have this opportunity to attend and we hope that people coming will have a great time. With such a selection of activities there is plenty to appeal to all ages so, let’s have some summer fun!”
Admission is free.
