Green fingered residents still have time to take advantage of a special offer when they sign up to the garden waste scheme.
Until 31 May, the borough council is offering a special discounted price of £39 for a 12 month subscription rather than the usual £42.
Residents can subscribe to the service by ordering and paying in advance for one year. For the duration of the subscription, they will receive a brown wheeled bin for garden waste.
The brown bin is emptied fortnightly, on the alternate week to the kerbside recycling box, although a small number of residents will have a different day for their collections.
Tim Atkins, director place and economic development at Cheltenham Borough Council, says: “More and more people are signing up to receive a brown bin as they make things so much easier. Even if residents don’t do very much gardening, the bins are a quick and easy way of disposing of grass cuttings and hedge trimmings.
“The garden waste collection service makes a significant contribution to Cheltenham's recycling rate and it’s important that we continue to do all we can to keep waste out of landfill.”
