The entrance to Regent Arcade car park will be closed between 2pm and 6pm on Monday 22 January so that essential maintenance work can be carried out.
The car park exit will not be affected and people will be able to get out of the car park during this time.
Mike Redman, director of environment said: ‘’We currently have some issues with the operation of the entry barrier (this links to the vehicle counter) to Regent Arcade car park and there are works planned next week which will involve closure of the entrance (not the exit) on Monday 22 January, to enable repairs to be undertaken. This is a maintenance issue being carried out by our contractor.
‘’There is also a wider project underway to upgrade the existing parking system to Regent Arcade, which will include options to provide improved road network information about the availability of spaces in this car park. It is anticipated that this work will complete in early summer 2018.’’
