To make Cheltenham's midsummer fiesta happen, we need the support of volunteers. Give your time and energy in making this brilliant free fiesta happen and be part of something unique!
Cheltenham’s biggest free summer event is returning to Montpellier Gardens on Saturday 1 July. The popular Midsummer Fiesta attracts crowds of thousands, and will include live music and dance performances; a ‘have a go’ arts and crafts area including t-shirt printing and weaving, a marketplace with dozens of local stalls; a children’s village with inflatables, rides, circus skills, go-karting, face painting and music; classic and vintage cars; fairground rides; have a go sports activities and a range of food and drink options.
The team is still seeking a few more volunteers to help run the event on the day, and their support is crucial to making it happen!
Helen Down, team leader for participation and engagement, says: “There are lots of activities which we need volunteers for, such as setting up, helping with the prize draw, giving out programmes, helping with children’s activities and in the arts and crafts area, and marshalling vehicles safely on and off the site.
“Volunteers are invited to a briefing session beforehand and are provided with a t-shirt, meal vouchers and drinks and snacks throughout the day. There are also opportunities for breaks to enjoy the event as well!”
If you can spare some time on Saturday 1 July between 8am and 10pm and would be interested in helping, please contact Helen Down at [email protected] or on 01242 774960. Alternatively you can visit www.midsummerfiesta.com which has the full details and volunteering form.
