As strong winds from Storm Frank continue, the council is asking residents to present their waste and recycling as securely as possible.

Here are some tips:

  • Try not to leave your bins and kerbside boxes out all night - present them early (by 7am) on the morning they are due to be collected if possible
  • Make sure lids are secured to stop waste and other items getting blown around
  • Label your bins and boxes with your address - then if they do get blown around your neighbours may be able to return them

Our crews will do all they can to assist and will collect any wind blown items as they go about their rounds, where possible.
