Audrey Hepburn: Portraits of an Icon Friday 13 November, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Cheltenham’s Mayor, Councillor Duncan Smith is inviting residents to an evening at The Wilson on Friday 13 November. From 6.30pm, guests will be welcomed with a glass of wine before they enjoy a beautiful and enchanting art exhibition offering an insight into the life and career of Audrey Hepburn (1929 – 1993).
The exhibition has been organised by the National Portrait Gallery, London with support from the Audrey Hepburn Estate/Luca Dotti and Sean Hepburn Ferrer.
Councillor Duncan Smith, said: "Audrey Hepburn was one of the world’s most photographed and recognisable stars. The exhibition includes vintage magazine covers, stills and rarely seen prints.
"I hope that, in support of my charity appeal, people will come along on Friday evening and enjoy this impressive exhibition."
Tickets are priced at £10 per person, to include wine, and can be purchased in advance from the Mayor’s PA, Jennie Ingram; please telephone 01242 264108 for more details. All money raised from the evening will go towards the Mayor’s charity appeal; this year he is supporting Maggie’s Cheltenham and Cotswold Riding Association.
The exhibition runs until 31 January 2016 at The Wilson, Clarence Street, Cheltenham, GL50 3JT.
