The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is back in Pittville Park for 2014 and Cheltenham Borough Council's Sport, Play & Healthy Lifestyles Team is encouraging locals to come together and get involved.
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together with events taking place across the country on Sunday 23 March. The Cheltenham Mile will set off from Pittville Park Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at 11.30am and pass around the beautiful Pittville Lake.
You can choose to do one, three or six miles. You can do the course as a family, a team or against the clock with your friends!
It's just £6 for adults, £3 for children and £15 for a family of four. The money raised will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the United Kingdom and across the world's poorest countries.
Cheltenham Borough Council's Sports Development Officer, Tom Sparks, said: "The Sport, Play & Healthy Lifestyle's Team are really excited to be organising another Sport Relief Mile for 2014 in partnership with students from the University of Gloucestershire. It’s a fantastic opportunity to participate with family, friends or colleagues. Leisure@cheltenham have already created a team and look forward to raising money together for a great cause".
“The beautifully located course has proved very popular in past years, so we recommend booking your place early to avoid missing out. We aren't able to accommodate participants on the day so please sign up at www.sportrelief.com to book your place."
