Support the Mayor when she attempts an extremely cold dip at the popular Xmas Day swim at the Lido on Wednesday 25 December.
Mayor Wendy Flynn is going to brave the waters in order to raise funds for the three mayor’s charities - Hester’s Way Neighbourhood Project, Victim Support and Cheltenham Animal Shelter.
The swim will take place promptly at 11am and will finish by 11.30am so the Mayor will be home in time for Christmas dinner!
Mayor Wendy Flynn, says: “I’m a little nervous about how cold it’s going to be. In 2011 it was 45F/7.2C. It’s all for such good causes that I’ve just got to be brave. I do hope people will support me in raising funds for the Mayor’s charities.”
To sponsor the Mayor simply request a sponsorship form from Jennie Ingram on 01242 264108 or email Jennie at [email protected].
There is no charge to enter this event and spectators are welcome.
