The topic of offering affordable home insurance to flood prone areas was raised, and the local area was accepted as an area that needs addressing, as well as many other areas around the country.

Alongside this announcement, the government are also consulting over a long term approach to insurance. Communities at risk of flooding that want to know more can make a comment on the consultation document.
