Youngsters will be entertained this half term, thanks to a number of activities being held at leisure@cheltenham.
The fun starts on Tuesday 12 February, with beginner junior badminton, for children aged 5-9 years old. The hour long session will offer youngsters an introduction into badminton. Run by the centre’s own qualified badminton England coach, Dan Brookes, participants can also learn new skills from leisure@cheltenham’s junior club who will be coming along to help. The sessions cost £5 and rackets can be provided.
On the same day, children can have a splash around with structured fun and games in the pool, featuring floats, races and games. Separate sessions, costing £6 each, will be held for 5-7 year olds and 8-10 year olds and spaces are limited.
‘Monster Thursday’ on 14 February will be action packed with four different activities happening: trampolining, dodgeball, bouncy castles and indoor go-karting. At a cost of £8, two sessions will be held, one for 5-7 year olds and 8-10 year olds.
Dan Brookes, activities co-ordinator at the council said: ‘’We have some great fun lined up for half-term and I would encourage people to book their children’s places now before they all go. We have picked some of the most popular activities to keep children entertained and active during the school break.’’
See leisure@cheltenham's website for the full timetable and to book a place, call 01242 528764. Supervision from parents isn't necessary and they are welcome to watch from the balcony or use the café area.
