As a regulatory compliance apprentice, you'll join our private sector housing team to help ensure the compliance of housing legislation, giving assurance that public health is being protected and that the council is fulfilling its statutory duties.

You will do this by:

  • Working with landlords to advise and educate them on their legal responsibilities
  • Assessing risks and can determine the best course of action
  • Collecting and analysing data
  • Writing up clear and concise reports
  • Working in line with organisation policies and procedures
  • Working as a part of a team and maintain good working relationships

During your time with us you'll be working towards the regulatory compliance officer level 4 qualification programme. There are many pathways to a career in the regulatory profession and we aim to support you through your apprenticeship development. This level 4 course delivered through Babington aims to provide you with an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory area that you'll be working in.

How long does an apprenticeship take?

An apprenticeship generally lasts between one and four years dependent on the level of qualification, but some may take longer.
