Why we collect information about you?
We collect information to process your Land Charge search on forms LLC1, CON29 or EIR, for a property or piece of land. We will use your contact details to return the search results and in the event that we need to contact you in relation to your search request.
This is a task given to the Council under the Local Land Charges Act 1975 and Limitation Act.
What information do we collect about you?
We will collect the below information about you:
- Name
- Postal or email address
- Contact telephone number
Who do we share the information with?
No one.
Is any information transferred to or stored on servers based outside the European Economic Area?
No.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep a Land Charge search request, including your contact information, for 7 years. This is held under the Local Land Charges Act 1975 and Limitations Act.
Who do we collect from?
You, the person submitting the search request.
What are the consequences if we do not collect the data?
We are unable to complete our obligations under the contract (application you have submitted) as we cannot return the results.
Are any decisions about you made by automatic means?
No.
