Why we collect information about you

We collect information from you because you have contacted us with an enquiry about services provided by our department or by another department within the council (e.g. environmental health or trees management) or by an organisation outside of the council with whom our department has a relationship (e.g. Ubico, a charitable organisation, a park Friends group).

You are not required to give your information to the council for this purpose and therefore you consent to the information being used for the purpose of your enquiry only.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect your name, telephone number and/or e-mail address and the nature of your enquiry.

Who do we share this information with?

This information will be shared with the person best placed within the department to respond to your enquiry or passed on to the person within or outside of the council who is best placed to deal with your enquiry.

Is there any information transferred to or stored on servers based outside the EEA?

No.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep information about you until your details have been passed to the appropriate person or department and/or until the enquiry has been completed.

We collect information from you.

What are the consequences if we do not collect the data?

The council would be unable to help you with your enquiry if it (or a partner organisation) was unable to contact you.

Are any decisions about you made by automatic means?

No.
