The council will provide the bags as requested and collect them at the agreed frequency for the garden bag service
The customer will pay the agreed charge for the service provided in accordance with the following conditions. The charge covers the cost of collecting the bags
Only agreed waste may be disposed of through this service
All waste must be contained within the bags. Any waste not contained in a Cheltenham Borough Council garden waste bag will not be collected. Additional bags can be supplied at additional cost
Bags should not be filled with such a weight as to make the moving or emptying process hazardous to the council’s operatives. The council reserves the right to suspend or cancel the service to customers whose bags are overweight
Bags should be presented on the kerbside by 7am on the day of collection, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed
There will be no return visit for aborted collections due to access not being made available by the customer
Should collections be missed due to circumstances beyond the council’s control, every effort will be made to arrange an alternative collection
Charges are set annually from 1 April each year
Payment is to be made on purchase of the bags
This agreement continues to be in force for the duration of the service and no refund will be issued for any unused bags
The council reserves the right to withdraw its service at any time. No refund will be issued
The garden waste bag service is only available within the specified streets
Collection will be made from the address given at the point of sale only
Bags are not transferable
Bags presented on any other street within the borough will not be collected
The bags remain the responsibility of the customer. No refund will be issued if the customer moves outside the specified collection area
