Who we work with
The Housing Strategy and Enabling Team work with a range of stakeholders locally, countywide and nationally, a few of which are listed below:
- Government Departments, including the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and the Home Office
- Gloucestershire Councils - Tewkesbury Borough, Cotswold District, Stroud District, Forest of Dean District, Gloucester City and Gloucestershire County Council
- Registered Providers, including our arms length management organisation, Cheltenham Borough Homes
- Local, regional and national land owners, developers and agents
- Gloucestershire County Council and the five other Gloucestershire local authorities to provide an ongoing strategic overview of housing and homelessness services through the Strategic Housing Partnership (SHP).
- Council colleagues in development management, planning policy and housing.
- NHS Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust, to identify and unblock key housing barriers affecting Cheltenham's residents.
- Homes England
- District Valuer Services (DVS), who provide the Council with independent advice concerning a range of housing, development and planning matters.
- The Cheltenham Housing and Support Forum, running on a quarterly basis, which brings together key stakeholders from key voluntary and public sector bodies across Cheltenham to prevent and reduce rough-sleeping and foster the establishment and maintenance of strong, resilient communities throughout Cheltenham.
