Unauthorised windows and doors policy
Upvc windows/doors within listed buildings
With over 2600 listed buildings in Cheltenham, many have had work carried out to them in the past without the necessary Listed Building Consent (LBC). Although this is an offence, it has been increasingly difficult to carry out formal enforcement action in a consistent and transparent way, given the number of historic contraventions and the available resources. The council therefore adopted an enforcement protocol for unauthorised windows and doors which aims to address this issue, while promoting full co-operation between owners of listed buildings and the council.
The list is a record of letters that have been sent, but the breach remains. This letter should be seen as the Local Planning Authority (LPA) commencing formal enforcement action.
