Apprenticeships and early careers

Here at Cheltenham Borough Council, our aim is to recruit and develop talented people who will focus on our customers, take responsibility, work together and find better ways of doing things. To deliver the best services to our residents, we need the best people working for us to make a difference to our communities; one of the ways we are aiming to do this is through apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships are a great route to employment, education and an exciting way to develop your career. They are real jobs with real responsibilities and you’ll be earning a salary and studying towards a qualification.

We have supported many apprentices in our organisation across a range of teams including green space, communications and marketing, finance, building control, anti-social behaviour and community, environmental health, and revenues and benefits; many have become permanent employees.
